Welcome to the website of the Russian Cultural Center (RCC).
The RCC, opened in Tel Aviv, October 10, 2007, and is one of 73 foreign missions of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation.
The main tasks of the RCC is to promote Russian culture and art, and support learning and teaching of the Russian language, providing prompt and objective information to the Israeli Public about the major events,the foreign policy of Russia as well as the promotion of joint Russian-Israeli programs in the humanitarian, cultural, scientific, technological and educational fields .
We are proud of the huge contribution of the Jews in the world to Russian culture, seeking to preserve and augment it. In this regard, we invite you to co-operate with the creative teams in Israel who came from the Soviet Union and the CIS, together with all the musicians, artists, writers and artists.
The RCC team is doing everything possible so that our valued visitors, the Israelis can feel comfortable and enjoy the programs. We welcome your suggestions.

Dear Israelis - Dear Compatriots!
On 27 January 2013 (day of the full lifting of the blockade in 1944)
at 12:00 in Ashdod - Area "Yud-Gimmel", a memorial rally will be held

18 January marks the 70th anniversary of one of the most heroic events
in the history of the USSR - the Red Army break of the 900- day Nazi siege of Leningrad.
In this context,as in previous years, the Representation of the FA
Rossotrudnichestvo in Israel and the Russian Cultural Center (Tel Aviv)
with the participation of the Leningrad blockaders in Israel, members of the
regional and city branches and veterans' associations in Israel and Ashdod residents
will hold a memorial rally and place wreaths at the monument to the victims who died in the siege.
Eternal memory to the residents of Leningrad and the soldiers of the Red Army, who died for
the freedom of the city on the Neva!

16 Jan 2013 - Compatriots Competition for Young Artists -" Children Draw Victory "
dedicated to the 68th anniversary of the Victory over Nazi Germany.
Organizers: Representation of the FA Rossotrudnichestvo
in Israel and the Russian Cultural Center
in Tel Aviv, Israel with the support of the Children's Art Center and the Association of Professional
Artists in Israel.
The drawing contest "Children Draw Victory" will also be announced via radio stations (Radio RECA)

The competition is held in 4 age categories:
5 to 7 years, 8 to 10 years from 11 to 13 years 14 to 16 years.
Approximate topics entries:
"On the heroes of yore ..." (about the exploits of Soviet soldiers, officers and partisans during
World War II);
- "The day you come close as they could ..." (about living and working in the rear);
- "War heroes in our family" (family members who fought in the Great Patriotic War);
- "Hero Cities" (Moscow, Leningrad and other cities of the heroes during the war and today);
- "Children of the war years" (about the young heroes of the war);
- "In the victorious May ..." (the celebration of Victory Day in 1945, and these days);
- Illustrations for books, poems and films about the Great Patriotic War.

| 7 Jan 2013 - the RCC in Tel Aviv commences the new year with a grand opening of art exhibitions with works by
Boris Karavanov (Ariel) and Boris Gaiman (Holon) " Space City ".
On 7 January , at the confluence of the public concerned, the first grand opening of art exhibitions in the new year was organized by the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv.
In the showroom windows the RCC displayed the exposition from the "Isradon" Publishing House..", showing new books from Russia.

| 8 Jan - 18:00 - Chansons - famous singer Alexei Sozonov (Russia),
On 8 January singer-chanson songwriter, winner of Russian and international festivals, Alexei Sozonov (Samara),gave a one and only solo concert in Israel "Pictures of Life" ,organized jointly with the Israeli Association "Moscow" (Chairman - Olga Gelfand).
The Head of Rossotrudnichestvo in Israel, Alexander Kryukov introduced the visitor and talked about the fruitful cooperation with the newly established association formed by compatriots from Moscow.
The famous Israeli singer, violinist, composer and songwriter
Edward Shor, opened with the song "Good evening, gentlemen."

09 Jan - Compatriots children broadcast "Russian for Children"
hosted by Radio Reka - the " Voice of Israel " - Russian Broadcast
Since the beginning of January 2013 the "Voice of Israel" began to broadcast a new series for children from Russian-speaking families in its Russian language program. Author and Broadcastor is a senior staff member of the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv,an experienced specialist in Russian, Dr. Tatiana Yatsyuk.
The objective - the preservation and promotion of the Russian language among young Israelis.

16 Jan - RCC evening with famous Israeli writer, humorist and journalist, popular host Radio REKA Freddie Ben Nathan (Ashdod).
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the album "Years of my herd", poems for songs written by F. Ben-Natan.

17 Jan - Russian-speaking Rehovot celebrated the 10-year anniversary of their creative Association.
At the Community House "Beit Israel" in Rehovot an event-presentation of the seventh non-literary-artistic almanach "Rimon", timed to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the local literary Association took place.
Opening the evening, head of the Association, journalist and writer Aída Zlotnikov congratulated the sponsors of "Rimon" and told the audience about the history of the Association and the Almanac.

24 Jan - RCC - 75th Anniversary - Vladimir Vysotsky Literary-musical cinema evening dedicated to the wonderful Russian film and theater actor, poet and singer.
In the hall of the RCC, which brought together many admirers of Vysotsky's unique talents, songs were heard in their unique design, creating a special emotional atmosphere.
RCC Rep. Vera Yedidya emphasized the continuing importance of Vladimir Vysotsky's creativity, whose name has a special place in the history of Soviet and Russian culture, and also noted the popularity of his songs among Israelis.

27 Jan - Ashdod - Memorial Rally - Leningrad Blockaders
A Memorial Rally and wreaths placing ceremony was held at the only monument to the 900 day siege of Leningrad , devoted to 70th anniversary of the breakout of the blockade by the Red Army.
Vice mayors of Ashdod Boris Giterman and Vladimir Gershov expressed their deep gratitude to the Leningrad Blokaders and Defenders of the city, a feat which has been a model of courage, unprecedented steadfastness and fortitude, and wished them health and strength.

Chairman of the Northern Regional Committee of the Veterans Union, Isaac Smorodov gave a thorough report on the general course of the Battle of Stalingrad from July 1942 to February 1943, noting the world-historical significance of the victory of the Soviet troops at Stalingrad.Further in attendance were Russian Consul General in Haifa, Igor Popov,

31 Jan - Nethanya hosts Russian Delegation from their twin city Gelendzhik
One of the results of the official visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Israel in June 2012 and the unveiling of an impressive memorial in Nethanya dedicated to the victory of the Red Army in World War II ,was the signing of the twinning between the Russian resort city of Gelendzhik and Netanya.
The Russian Ambassador to Israel Sergey Yakovlev and the Director of the FA Rossotrudnichestvo in Israel,Alexander Kryukov Gelendzhik Mayor Victor Khrestin and Netanya Mayor Miriam Fayerberg-Icarus signed a set of documents on twinning. read more soon >>>
