Welcome to the website of the Russian Cultural Center (RCC).

The RCC opened in Tel Aviv on October 10, 2007 , and is one of 85 foreign representations of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation.

The main tasks of the RCC is to promote Russian culture and the arts, support the study and teaching of the Russian language, to relay prompt and objective information to the Israelis about the most important events of the external and internal policy of Russia, promoting the implementation of the joint Russian-Israeli programs in the humanitarian, cultural, scientific, technical and educational fields.

We are proud of the huge contribution of the Jews in World War I and the Russian culture, seeking to preserve and enhance it.
In this regard, we welcome the cooperation of creative teams who came from the USSR, the CIS, as well as all the musicians, singers, writers and artists and who started new careers in Israel.

The RCC team is doing its best to present an interesting program in a relaxed athmosphere to our valued visitors.

7 October 2014 - Zaveliy Rahmielevich Kleiner
in Memoriam

The Representation of Russian Federal Agency Rossotrudnichestvo in Israel and the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv with regret inform the public of the passing on 7th October, 2014, of a prominent figure in the veterans' movement in Israel, the assistant to the president of the Veterans Union of disabled soldiers and partisans from the war against the Nazis Zaveliy Rahmielevich Kleiner. a Veteran of the Great Patriotic War, marked by many military awards. ZR Kleiner made an invaluable contribution to the strengthening of relations between Israel and Russia, including in the sphere of international cooperation with veterans associations.

Organizer and participant in dozens of meetings at the highest level in cooperation with Russian organizations of war veterans, ZR Kleiner took an active part in social and political activities to preserve the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War and the victory over fascism.

Zaveliy Rahmielevich was a friend of the Russian Cultural Center for many years, and actively participated in numerous cultural, educational and historical memorial projects of the RCC and the fond memory of it will remain in our hearts. 3 Oct - 2014 -RCC - the final reading of the draft "Karenina.- a living Book " in the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv

On 3-4 October a worldwide reading of Leo Tolstoy" Anna Karenina " was held through the internet.

The international online project "Karenina. Live Edition ", initiated by the Museum-Estate of Leo N.Tolstoy" Yasnaya Polyana "and now Google,In a continuous two-day reading sessions, which involved Russian cities and cities around the world - London, Dublin, Paris, Seoul, Bogota, Sydney, Los Angeles, New York City read this famous book

. Excerpts from the novel were consistently read by more than 700 people, among which were the theater and film actor, journalists, musicians, descendants of Leo Tolstoy, artists, scientists, and popular videoblogery winners selection of readers "KareninaLive".

This reader marathon united lovers of classical Russian literature in the world, and on October 3 at 11 am local time, the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv, joined this on-line event.

Israel write Dina Rubina opened the reading session,followed by the actress and singer Tanya Masse, actors of the "Gesher" theater Svetlana Demidova, Nicholas and Tamara Tuberovsky Ovsishcher, composer Yuri Povolotskii, actress and singer Bronislaw Kazantsev, publisher Alexander Gavrilov, journalist Lydia Tarnavska, teacher Zara Sargsyan.

The project was finalized on October 4 at 23:00 Moscow time. The whole affair was entirely read in more than 30 hours.

11 Sept. 2014 - Moscow Day celebrated at the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv

In honor of the city of Moscow a gala evening organized by the Israeli Association of Compatriots "Moscow" (Chairman - Olga Gelfand), together with the RCC was held in the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv.

It is no coincidence that Moscow City Day is celebrated in Tel Aviv, which is the sister city of the Russian capital.
On the holiday of the Russian capital former Muscovites, well-known Russian-Israeli culture and art, including the Honored Artist of Russia, singer Anna Reznikov, one of the best goalkeepers of Russian football, the coach of the Israeli players Alexander Uvarov, a popular singer, theater and film actor Paul Krawiecka came from all over the country to the Russian Cultural Center.

The evening was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps of the Russian Embassy in Israel and the leaders of the Russian-speaking non-governmental organizations and associations of immigrants from the Soviet Union and the CIS countries,and representatives of the Israeli media.

Thematic exhibitions in honour of Moscow City Day were on display : exhibition "Moscow Time", which includes photographs of Moscow and Muscovites from the late nineteenth - early twenty-first centuries. Exhibition "Walking the Streets of Moscow", provided by the photo club "Tsafon" (Haifa) - The Moscow city landscape, was captured by Russian and Israeli artists.

The speeches made at the opening of the festival, brought back memories of Moscow and a declaration of love to the "best city in the world." At the party were shown videos of the ancient and eternally young Russian capital.

The Concert program opened the evening with a guest from the Russian capital - pianist Natalia Korshunova, Honorary Activist of Culture of Moscow, Deputy Director of the Moscow Gnessin Music School, performing works by masterly Sergei Rachmaninov.

The concert continued with well-known Israeli musicians and singers, students of international competitions - performer of Russian folk songs Elena Karelin, composer, pianist, winner of Israel's Prime Minister Michael Liebman and opera singer Tamara Romer, who performed a medley of songs about Moscow, the popular singer and composer Bronislaw Kazantsev,and pianist Yuri Povolotskii.

10 Sep 2014 - the RCC presents awards in Haifa

An Award ceremony for participants and winners of the Immigrant Russian language Olympiad was held for the students of the "Mofet-Bosmat" School (Haifa) at the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Haifa.

Also the medal "For love and faithfulness" was presented to war veterans E.G. Lebengardov.

6 Sep. 2014 - an interactive Russian lesson broadcast dedicated to the new school year in Israeli schools was aired on Radio REKA.

Well-known journalist Victoria Dolinskaya, Voice of Israel - Radio Reka, won great popularity among children and adults in the framework of the children's Russian language broadcast a concept initiated by the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv.

The Author of these transmissions, teacher-methodologist of the Russian language courses for children at the RCC, Dr. Tatiana Yatsyuk,a linguistic expert, developed these fascinating radio lessons dedicated to the Russian language and literature.

The lesson included poems of famous poets and popular children's song about school.
The live broadcast featured live chat with children from different cities in Israel, which showed that compatriots families have an unabated desire to preserve the Russian language and pass it to their children and grandchildren.

The live performance of a 5 year old girl, who brilliantly sung the timeless "Katyusha" in Russian also evidenced this fact.
Young listeners gladly answer questions of an entertaining quiz on the Russian language. The winners receive prizes - new books for children and teenagers,provided by the Russian Cultural Center, and the Book Publishing House "Isradon" .
