Welcome to the website of the Russian Cultural Center (RCC).
The RCC opened in Tel Aviv on October 10, 2007 , and is one of 85 foreign representations of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation.
The main tasks of the RCC is to promote Russian culture and the arts, support the study and teaching of the Russian language, to relay prompt and objective information to the Israelis about the most important events of the external and internal policy of Russia, promoting the implementation of the joint Russian-Israeli programs in the humanitarian, cultural, scientific, technical and educational fields.
We are proud of the huge contribution of the Jews in World War I and the Russian culture, seeking to preserve and enhance it.
In this regard, we welcome the cooperation of creative teams who came from the USSR, the CIS, as well as all the musicians, singers, writers and artists and who started new careers in Israel.
The RCC team is doing its best to present an interesting program in a relaxed athmosphere to our valued visitors.

27 August 2015 - A festive gala evening in honor of the 1010-anniversary of Kazan was held at the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv
The Gala evening was dedicated to the 1010-th anniversary of the capital of Tatarstan - Kazan. The event was organized by the Immigrant association of immigrants from the Republic of Tatarstan and the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv, where the celebration of Kazan has become a good tradition.
In the official part of the evening with a welcoming speech the head of the diplomatic mission of the Russian Embassy in Israel, A. Yu Drobinin, Consul General of Russia in Haifa A L Sentebov, head of Rossotrudnichestvo in Israel Yakimchuk N. Yu, head of the administration and the Volga Vakhitovsky Regional Executive Committee of Kazan A N Lobov, heads of the Israeli association of immigrants from the Republic of Tatarstan L G Litinetskaya and M. Pearlstein.
Modern Kazan is one of the largest centers of social and cultural life of Russia, the venue of major international competitions, forums and festivals. In 2015, Kazan hosted the World Cup in water sports, in 2018 the capital of Tatarstan will be one of the Russian cities, which will host the FIFA World Cup, the 2019 World Cup will be held here on the professional skills of World Skills.
The Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv has developed a fruitful partnership with the Israeli association of people from Tatarstan and cultural figures from Kazan. In 2015, the Center has carried out an important cultural project - donated to the Kazan State Conservatory. N G Zhiganova unique collection of musical literature musicologist, composer, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan, Professor Georg Cantor (1930-2013).
During the evening the widow of the composer expressed gratitude to the RCC and the administration of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The evening ended with a festive concert, which was attended by guests from Kazan - singer and musician, People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Malikov, singer Alsou Abelhanova known satirical poet Igor Guberman, singer, soloist of the Israel Opera Michael Riskin. Among the guests were prominent Israeli journalists, radio and TV presenters, representatives of public associations of compatriots, and many natives of Kazan.

18 Aug 2015 - 19:00 - RCC Tel Aviv - Graduates evening TK - Tatiana Kisilevskii film school. Demonstration of students work.
An evening of film school "Tanya Kisilevski" graduates took place in the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv,under the guidance of Director and producer, member of the Guild of Russia, winner of the International Film Festival «stalker» Tanya Kisilevski.
A well-known documentary filmmaker, installation wizard, Grand Prix winner of the International Film Festival "Jewish eye» Efim Kucuk.also attended the evening.
The Film school was opened at the Russian Cultural Center in the beginning of the year 2015. Students in the curriculum were trained the basics of composition, directing, filming and editing, amateur cinema, got acquainted with the laws drafting, of training Theatre scenario plan, work with sound.
According to the results of the students presented their final works-copyrighted short documentaries. Pictures affect the pressing social issues and reflect the daily life of Israel through the eyes of "aliyah". Of special interest was the painting of a young graduate of the film school, 10-year-old Julia Granovsky, dedicated to the environmental problem of preservation of the dead sea.
The graduates were awarded certificates of completion of the film school.

17 August 2015 - Russian Language teachers from abroad attended summer school in Moscow
In July,at the Russian Language State Institute Pushkin (Moscow) training courses for foreign teachers of Russian as a foreign language were held. Within the framework of quotas for free education in Russia, granted to foreign citizens by the Russian Federal Agency Rossotrudnichestvo, the schools have become specialists in teaching Russian philology students from near and far abroad, including from Israel, represented by the teacher of Russian language courses for children at the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv Olga Mariashin.
The course included an extensive program of lectures and master classes by leading experts on topical issues of the Institute of Russian language teaching in bilingual and foreign audiences.
They also provided training on the use of modern computer technology and innovative training, consultancy renowned scientists and methodologists.
Upon completion of the courses the students received certificates of advanced training.
During her stay in Moscow, the Russian philology toured the famous artistic and literary museum, visited the Bolshoi Theatre and other famous theaters.

Olga Mariashin shared her impressions of the trip: "I sincerely recommend the course to all my colleagues-specialists in Russian philology. And, of course, Moscow itself - the best addition to the entire course. Enjoy the city, about which so much has been said in literature and art, can be infinite. Medals "For love and fidelity" were awarded to Israeli couples
at the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv
A ceremony awarding medals "For love and fidelity." was held at the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv.
The award was instituted in Russia in connection with the celebration of family and love and fidelity. The medal is awarded to families who have lived in marriage more than 25 years, have received popularity among citizens, strength of family ties, based on mutual love and fidelity, and raise their children as worthy members of society.
In Israel, the medal "For love and loyalty" is awarded for several years.
This year four couples received the award - Honorary Consul of Russia in Israel, Dr. Amin Safia and his wife Catherine Klubnichkina, head of the organization of compatriots to "speak the same language" (the city of Hadera) Eugene Aristidova Yuri Aristide, head of VORZ ( of Karmiel) Gehlen and Boris Knyazev, art director of the Israel Centre for support of children's art, teacher and specialist in Russian Irina and Gennady Deitch

The selection committee of the Russian Peoples' Friendship University completes the reception of documents from foreign citizens to study in the 2015/2016 academic year, under contracts with payment of tuition fees for basic courses (bachelor, specialty, MA) by 30 September , 2015.
Enrollment is conducted up to October 1, 2015.
Admission of documents for training under contracts with payment of tuition fees at the Faculty of Russian language and general educational disciplines (preparatory faculty) is carried out during the school year.

7 Aug. 2015 - at the RCC in Tel Aviv, the festival of "Journey to the country of fantasies" for children from Russia and CIS countries being treated in Israeli hospitals, was held.
While the children draw, play board games and outdoors, a lecture of an experienced specialist about the features of nutrition of children during the period of heavy treatments was organized for the parents . Cook-volunteers treated children to healthy juices and sweets.
At the end of the event all children received gifts.
The Youth Volunteer Community "Timur and his team" is active for two years in the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv organizing several holiday matinees, theater performances and charity concerts for the young patients and their families.

1 August 2015, radio station REKA ("Voice of Israel"), within the framework of the children's program iniated by the RCC and the journalist and presenter Victoria Dolinskaya, the monthly interactive lesson in Russian was conducted together with the representative of the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv, the teacher-specialist in Russian philology Tatiana Yatsyuk.
The program was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the famous Russian composer Alexei Rybnikov, and music and songs from the hero of the day a children cinema were sounded, "About Little Red Riding Hood" and "The Adventures of Pinocchio", which are still popular and loved among the young and grown-countrymen.
Young Israelis were interactively involved live and replied to quiz questions in Russian.
The main prize for the winner was a ticket to one of the performances of the International Puppet Theater Festival, which is held these days in Israel. All lesson participants traditionally received as a gift children's books in Russian from the Russian Cultural Center.
The program was also attended by the 16-year-old Israeli schoolgirl Alice Tunisia, who shared her impressions of the trip to St. Petersburg.

Katherina Yurievna Genieva
( 1946 - 2015 )
On July 9 Katherina Y. Genieva - the General Director of the Russian State Library of Foreign Literature named after MI Rudomino, well-known Russian scholar and culture activist, passed away.
Katherina Y. was the initiator and participant of a number of projects implemented by the All-Russia State Library for Foreign Literature and the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv.
The active work of EY Genieva in Israel served the expansion of Russian-Israeli relations and humanitarian popularization of Russian culture, literature and art.
The Representation of the Russian Federal Agency Rossotrudnichestvo in Israel, and the staff of the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv express deep condolences to the families and friends of Katherina Yurievna Genieva.
The bright memory of her will remain forever in our hearts.

OBJECTIVES OF THE FESTIVAL:
association of poets writing in Russian, in line with the general idea of the Temple and the road to it, meaning all possible interpretations: the temple in the human soul to the third Temple in Jerusalem; poetic reflection of the personal path of awareness, "who am I", "why am I", "where I go"; consolidation of scattered world of poets based on spiritual kinship and common cultural values.
The festival is supported by:
- The Union of Writers of Israel;
- Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv;
- Literary magazine "22";
- Magazine "Literary Jerusalem";
- "Jerusalem Journal".

After the online contest,an OPEN FESTIVAL will be held in Israel in March 2016, in which the winners will participate.
Guests/winners from abroad cover their own expenses.
Winners and prize-winners of the festival will be awarded prizes, diplomas and gifts.
In March,as part of the festival an open literary workshop will be held; it will conduct members of the jury; may participate in the optional - finalists (who will be in the short list) and the winners of the contest.
To participate in the workshop should send one text for January 2016 to the address of the festival: dorogakhramy@yandex.ru , in the subject line write "Literary workshop", include your name and city.
POETIC COMIC COMPETITION
As part of the Open Festival in Israel a competition presentation of humorous poems "IDN March" - a performance-show, will beheld. The winner of which will determine the participants. Format - 2-3 minutes.
The festival jury consists of poets - the representatives of Israel,
USA, Russia and Germany.

All-Israeli competition for the best educational and methodical development of "the Russian language Literature in the classroom" . The competition is held in order to develop and support the creative potential of Russian Language teachers, increase students' interest in learning the Russian language and literature, solving educational problems based on the spiritual values of the great Russian literature, as well as the creation of the Russian Cultural Center Foundation teaching materials to help teachers of the Russian language as a foreign language.

In the Year of Russian literature, the Mission of the Russian Federal Agency Rossotrudnichestvo in Israel and the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv invite Russian language teachers to participate in the All-Israeli competition for the best educational and methodical development of "Literature of the Russian language in the classroom" .

FREE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE COURSES
for children and youngsters aged 6 to 14 years from Russian-speaking families.
Classes are conducted by highly qualified teachers with many years of experience in teaching the Russian language in Israeli schools.
Groups are formed according to the results of the interview.
Frequency of sessions: once a week for 3 lessons
