We are pleased to provide an English version of the Russian web-site published by the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv .
This is an abridged version formatted on a monthly basis. Previous months and years, and brief notes of the RCC's monthly program and activities can be found on the 2013 - 2014 calendar, a new format, in our archives section.

Welcome to the website of the Russian Cultural Center (RCC).
The RCC opened in Tel Aviv on October 10, 2007 , and is one of 85 foreign representations of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation.
The main tasks of the RCC is to promote Russian culture and the arts, support the study and teaching of the Russian language, to relay prompt and objective information to the Israelis about the most important events of the external and internal policy of Russia, promoting the implementation of the joint Russian-Israeli programs in the humanitarian, cultural, scientific, technical and educational fields.
We are proud of the huge contribution of the Jews in World War I and the Russian culture, seeking to preserve and enhance it.
In this regard, we welcome the cooperation of creative teams who came from the USSR, the CIS, as well as all the musicians, singers, writers and artists and who started new careers in Israel.
The RCC team is doing its best to present an interesting program in a relaxed athmosphere to our valued visitors.

Courses, studios, Circles, Russian language courses - free group for children and students. Computer courses for adults. Studio drawing and painting (for kids and adults). School playing six-string guitar (for children and adults). Theatrical studio "Silhouette" (for adults). Weekly Educational and methodical Russian language courses.
Library: loan, reading room, stand with new additions. Internet. Opening hours: Monday (11.00-15.30), Wednesday (14.00-18.30), Fri. (10.00-13.30). Opening hours might change, please watch for

24-25.Sept. 2015 - Dmitrov - Developing partnership relations of Israeli cities with Russian regions
Within the framework of the establishment of friendly relations between the town of Or Akiva (Israel) and Dmitrov municipal district of Moscow region, the Israeli delegation visited the International Economic Forum of municipalities, which took place in the town of Dmitrov on September 24-25, 2015.
The forum was organized by the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Chamber of Commerce of the Russian Federation, Association of Small and medium-sized cities in Russia, Moscow Region Government, Russian Economic University. Plekhanov and the administration of Dmitrov municipal district.
The forum was attended by representatives of 28 countries.
The co-chairmen of the organizing committee: Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, SE Naryshkin and Moscow Region Governor Alexander Vorobyov Yu welcomed the participants of The Israeli delegation consisting of the Chairman of the Association of Compatriots "Aliteya" deputy municipality of Or Akiva Vadim Edelman-Perepelitsa and chairman of the International Relations, deputy municipality of Or Akiva Zaslauskaya Elena took part in the section of "Twin Cities - experience of cooperation . Our city, as a factor of stability in international relations. "
During the visit, the guests from Or Akiva met with the head of the Dmitrov Municipal District Vladimir Gavrilov, discussed the prospects of bilateral relations and the establishment of friendly relations, visited the school in Dmitrov and met with its leadership. The forum participants unanimously stressed the importance of international cooperation in the framework of public diplomacy at the level of human contact.
17 - 20 Sep. 2015 - The Russian Sailing Ship "Kruzenshtern" on visit to Haifa
From 17 to 20 September 2015 as part of a cruise on the Baltic Sea and the Mediterranean the sailing ship "Kruzenshtern" owned by the Baltic State Academy of Fishing Fleet (Kaliningrad) will anchor in the port of Haifa.
On 17th September at 14:00 a group of Israeli veterans, accompanied by the Consul General of Russia in Haifa A.L. Sentebov and the Director of the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv, Natalia Y. Yakimchuk will be visiting the ship "Kruzenshtern".
The training sailing ship "Kruzenshtern" - one of the world's largest four-masted barque was built in 1926 in Germany and launched almost 90 years ago as "Padova".
After the Second World War, by the decision of the victors,the sailboat became the property of the Soviet Union, and in January 1946 the ship raised the Soviet naval flag. Her new name was in honor of a sailboat Admiral Ivan Kruzenshtern, the head of the first Russian world expedition 1803-1806 biennium.
The oceanographic ship "Kruzenshtern" repeatedly made transatlantic and round the world expeditions, doing research in the Atlantic Ocean.
Currently, the "Kruzenshtern" provides practice for naval schools and regularly participates in international regattas.
9 Sep. RCC - Tel Aviv : The new adaptation of the novel by Boris Vasilyev "The Dawns here Are Quiet"
In the Year of the 70th anniversary of the Victory and the Year of Russian literature and highlighting the video classes at the RCC , the premiere military film-drama "The Dawns here Are Quiet" ( Russia,2015) - one of the best contemporary Russian films about the Great Patriotic War, were shown.
The film was directed by Renata Davletyarova starring famous Russian actors Peter Fedorov, Anastasia Mikulchina, Kuznetsova Agnes, Christine Asmus, Anatoly Bely, Darya Moroz, Catherine Vilkova and others
The new adaptation of the novel by Boris Vasilyev is different from the legendary film by Stanislav Rostotsky's 1972 direct correlation with the text of the novel, which behind the screen reads People's Artist of Russia Sergei Garmash.
Leading video classes, RCC Official Tatiana Yatsyuk told about the history of the story writer and war veteran Boris Vasilyevand the creative group of the film and its artistic features.
Israeli lovers of Russian cinema film warmly welcomed and shared their impressions. For this evening a specially written song for the film by Nicholas Rastorguev "Lube" was song.
6 September 2015 19:30 - Moscow Day - Gala Evening
at the "Einav" Cultural Center on the Roof of the Gan Ha'ir Mall,71, Ibn Gvirol St. Tel Aviv
The Gala evening "Moscow Day in Tel Aviv" was held with great success in the presence of distinguished guests from Moscow, Knesset members, representatives of the diplomatic corps, the mayor's office in Tel Aviv, veterans and compatriots.
Welcoming remarks were made by the chargé d'affaires of the Russian Federation in Israel, minister-counselor of the Russian Embassy in Israel A.Drobinin; the representative of the Government of Moscow, the general director of the Moscow Center for International Cooperation I.Tkach; Adviser to the Mayor of Tel Aviv I.Mihaeli, veterans who had participated in the battles near Moscow, a member of the Victory Parade June 24, 1945, the standard-bearer of the column H.Nason.
The concert program was opened by the Russian folk ensemble "Grenada", which had participated in numerous competitions. They came to congratulate us on the occasion on behalf of the Government of Moscow.
Israel continued its program of stars, winners of Immigrant and international competitions - Anya Reznikov, Nati Gale, Galina Malin, Bronskiy Alex, Alex and Julia Mishakov Timothy Sannikov.
The audience rewarded the eminent artists for their great performances with very warm, enthusiastic applause .
After the concert in the foyer of the audience were able to visit the exhibition "Moscow Time", courtesy of the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv.

FREE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE COURSES for children and youngsters aged 6 to 12 years from Russian-speaking families.
Classes are conducted by highly qualified teachers with many years of experience in teaching the Russian language in Israeli schools.
Groups are formed according to the results of the interview.
