Promotion of Russian education abroad - the most important task of the state.
Work in this direction defines the concept of promotion of Russian education on the basis of Rossotrudnichestvo Representations abroad, approved March 27, 2014. The concept aims to create a system of effective measures for the promotion of Russian higher education abroad, as well as the creation of mechanisms for information and coordination support activities of universities for the development of international relations.
Much attention is paid to the support of Russian schools abroad, the corresponding concept was approved November 4, 2015.
The concept defines:
priorities and objectives of the state policy of the Russian Federation at the positioning of the general education in Russian in the international educational space;
approaches to ensure access of Russian citizens, foreign citizens and stateless persons to obtain a general education in Russian abroad;
organizations engaged in educational activities in the field of general education abroad as Russian schools abroad (4 species);
types of state support to organizations engaged in educational activities in Russian and (or) in accordance with the GEF in foreign countries (informational, methodological, logistical, organization of vocational training and further vocational training for workers of Russian schools abroad).
Annually Rossotrudnichestvo implementing projects and programs aimed at the export of Russian education, the promotion of international scientific cooperation, attraction of foreign nationals to study in Russia, as well as interaction with alumni of Russian (Soviet) universities.
Rossotrudnichestvo - Russian centers of science and culture abroad - are grounds for carrying out activities in the field of education, the establishment of contacts between Russian scientists and their foreign counterparts, youth co-operation, as well as measures for foreign school graduates selection for training in Russian universities within the framework of the quota, allocated by the Government.
Partners in this area - the Russian Federation Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian educational and research organizations, the Association of Foreign Graduates of Russian (Soviet) universities and foreign students studying in Russia, and others.
