Strengthening the position of the Russian language abroad
One of the most important tools for expanding international cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Russia and other countries is the support and promotion of the Russian language abroad.
The world's largest Russian-speaking language occupies 6th place (after English, Chinese, Hindi, Spanish, and Arabic); by the degree of prevalence - 8 th place (after Chinese, Spanish, English, Arabic, Hindi, Bengali and Portuguese).
By the use of the Internet Russian language at the 2nd place. This is one of the translated languages in the world. Among the languages that translates most of the books on the Russian 7th place. Among the languages with which most often translated, Russian on the 4th place.
Russian has the status of an official language of the state and in Russia, Belarus, the official language institutions in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and other countries.

Most people learn the Russian language, with quite a practical purpose: to study in Russia, to work in Russia. Knowing the Russian language, a person is able to communicate with Russian business partners or work in a Russian company with operations abroad.
Rossotrudnichestvo systematically conducts training of Russian language courses at their offices - Russian Centre of Science and Culture (RCSC) in 58 countries around the world.
Particular attention is paid to social and professional orientation courses, teaching orientation on different target audiences: government services employees, banks, travel agencies; children of compatriots living abroad and children of mixed marriages.
Also Rossotrudnichestvo and its foreign missions annually conduct cultural-educational, educational, scientific and methodical activities aimed at popularizing the Russian language and to stimulate the interest of foreign citizens to study it, as well as raising the level of teaching of the Russian language in the host countries.
