30 Jan. 2012 - The 68th anniversary of the lifting of the siege of Leningrad
remembered at a special evening of memory and herosim at the RCC




A Memorial Concert dedicated to the heroism during the Leningrad blockade was given on January 30, 2012 at the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv during an artistic memorial evening dedicated to 68th anniversary of the complete lifting of Nazi siege of Leningrad.

The Union of Leningrad blockaders from different cities in Israel and representatives of the younger generation of Israelis – natives of St. Petersburg were met in the foyer of the Russian Cultural Center, which was decorated with memorabilia and pictures of the blockade, as well as photographs of Leningrad.

Opening the meeting, the Head of the FA Rossotrudnichestvo Representation in Israel, Alexander Kryukov, warmly welcomed the participants and noted that the strength and heroism of the past 872 days after the blockade of the inhabitants and defenders of the city on the Neva River showed to the world a striking example of the courage of the Soviet people of different nationalities who fought for their country .

The Chairman of the Union of Leningrad blockaders in Israel, Sonia Barulya (Jerusalem), quoted from the archive of declassified documents of the General Staff of the Wehrmacht about Hitler’s plans for the total destruction of Leningrad.
The Leningrad blockaders living today in Israel then shared their memories of the tragic and heroic days of the Leningrad blockade .

A concert of the famous singer and composer Vlad Zernitsky who sang songs of his own provided the artistic part of the evening.




Вечер памяти и героизма блокадников в РКЦ


30 января в Российском культурном центре в Тель-Авиве состоялся мемориально-художественный вечер, посвященный 68-й годовщине полного снятия немецко-фашистской блокады Ленинграда. В фойе РКЦ, оформленном материалами и картинами о блокаде, а также фотографиями Ленинграда, собрались члены Союза ленинградских блокадников из разных городов Израиля и представители более молодого поколения израильтян - выходцев из Санкт-Петербурга.

Открывая встречу, руководитель представительства Россотрудничества в Израиле Александр Крюков тепло приветствовал собравшихся и отметил, что стойкость и героизм прошедших через 872 дня блокады жителей и защитников города на Неве явили всему миру поразительный пример мужества советских людей разных национальностей, сражавшихся за свою Родину..

Председатель Союза ленинградских блокадников Израиля Соня Баруля (Иерусалим) привела выдержки из рассекреченных документов архива генштаба вермахта о планах гитлеровцев по тотальному уничтожению Ленинграда. Затем своими воспоминаниями о тех трагических и героических днях поделились ныне живущие в Израиле ленинградские блокадники..

Художественную часть вечера составил концерт известного певца и композитора Влада Зерницкого, исполнившего песни собственного сочинения. .
