Military Historical Conference held at the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv




The conference was organized by the Russian Federal Agency Rossotrudnichestvo Representation in Israel, the Russian Embassy, the Union of Disabled Soldiers and Partisans from the war against the Nazis and the Veterans Union of the Second World War - the Fighters against Nazism.

Opening the meeting, the Head of FA Rossotrudnichestvo in Israel,Alexander Kryukov, welcomed the participants, especially veterans - participants in the battles at Stalingrad.
Kryukov made a general presentation on the progress of the battle from July 1942 to February 1943 between the Don and Volga.

Representatives of both veterans' associations Zavely Kleiner and Joseph Baraban noted the particular importance of the victory of the Soviet troops at Stalingrad - the largest political and military events of the Second World War - in the defeat of the Nazi forces, and the heroism by soldiers and officers, which included thousands and thousands of sons and daughters of the Jewish people.

Participants in the battles at Stalingrad,who live now in Israel, Yefim Golbrayh (Rishon Lezion), Michael Sandler (Jerusalem), Simon Zaslav (Haifa) and Solomon Yukhanov (Or Akiva) spoke at the conference.
The speakers were presented with gifts from the Union of Disabled Soldiers and Partisans from the war against the Nazis.

The veterans also welcomed the President of the World Cultural Center of immigrants from Central Asia, the historian Dr. Mordechai Kimyagarov.
The speeches and lectures were accompanied by batllefield illustrations and screening of rare newsreel footage.

The conference was attended by activists of the Association of Russian-Israeli compatriots groups, the association of former law enforcement officers "Shield and Sword" and the Russian-speaking youth movement "Yadarim."

В Тель-Авиве отметили 70-летие Сталинградской битвы

 

 

15 ноября в Российском культурном центре в Тель-Авиве состоялась военно-историческая конференция, приуроченная к 70-летию начала контрнаступления советских войск под Сталинградом (19 ноября 1943 г.) и организованная представительством Россотрудничества в Израиле и Посольством России совместно с Союзом воинов и партизан – инвалидов войны с нацистами и Союзом ветеранов Второй мировой войны – борцов против нацизма.

 

Открывая встречу, руководитель представительства Россотрудничества Александр Крюков приветствовал собравшихся, прежде всего фронтовиков – участников боёв под Сталинградом. А. Крюков выступил с общим докладом о ходе сражения с июля 1942 г. по февраль 1943 г. в междуречье Дона и Волги.

 

Представители руководства обоих ветеранских союзов Завелий Клейнер и Иосиф Барабан отметили особую важность победы советских войск под Сталинградом – крупнейшего военно-политического события Второй мировой войны – в разгроме немецко-фашистских войск, а также героизм, проявленный солдатами и офицерами, среди которых были тысячи и тысячи сынов и дочерей еврейского народа.

 

Своими воспоминаниями поделились живущие ныне в Израиле участники сражений под Сталинградом Ефим Гольбрайх (Ришон ле-Цион), Михаил Сандлер (Иерусалим), Семён Заслав (Хайфа) и Соломон Юханов (Ор-Акива). Выступавшим были вручены памятные подарки от Союза воинов и партизан – инвалидов войны с нацистами.

 

Ветеранов также приветствовал председатель Всемирного культурного центра выходцев из Средней Азии, историк д-р Мордехай Кимягаров.

Выступления и доклады сопровождались демонстрацией на экране карт боевых действий и редких кадров кинохроники.

 

В конференции приняли участие активисты Всеизраильского объединения российских землячеств, объединения бывших работников правоохранительных органов «Щит и меч», молодёжного русскоязычного движения «Ядарим».
