1 May 2013 - Activists of the veterans union of disabled soldiers and partisans from the war against nazism met at the RCC
The FA Rossotrudnichestvo Representation in Israel is continuing a series of memorial, cultural and information activities, dedicated to the 68th anniversary of the Victory over Nazi Germany.
On 1 may the Russian cultural center (Tel Aviv) hosted a meeting with activists of the Union of Soldiers and Partisans fighting against the Nazis (President-General (Ret.) Novel Cladoni Rangiferin).

Celebration of Russian music at the RCC
|
On the eve of the 68th anniversary of the Victory over Nazi Germany and its satellites, the Russian Cultural Center (Tel Aviv) is the only place in Israel, where a unique duet concert virtuosos from Russia, winners of numerous international competitions - the pianist Maria Nemkova and saxophonist Vitaly Vatulev perform .
The performance skills of gifted Russian students was applauded in many famous concert halls in the world.
The guests from Russia devoted their speech to the Victory Day and the World War II veterans living in Israel.
Opening the evening, the Head of the Russian Cooperation Representation in Israel Alexander Kryukov warmly welcomed the Russian musicians who gave a memorable performance for the Israeli music lovers , which was first held in the RCC a year ago. This time the duo arrived in Tel Aviv with their new program.
Kryukov also told the audience that Nemtsov and Vladimir M. Vatulya are the organizers of the international charity project "Music for Peace", in which a series of concerts are performed and master classes for gifted children and young people in different parts of Russia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and South America are organized.
During the concert of Russian musicians,works by Beethoven, Chopin, D. Milhaud and other composers were performed.
Virtuosos of Russia conquered the Israeli music fans with a brilliant performance of known and seldom-played works - from classical to jazz. The brilliant duo performance, which has become a real festival of Russian art of music, ended with prolonged enthusiastic applause of the public.

On Radio REKA Russian Language children program young Israelis speak about Victory Day.
4 May 2013, on state radio "Voice of Israel" in the framework of the popular Russian language program conducted with the participation of children, well-known journalist Victoria Dolinskaya conducted a special broadcast which is prepared by the Russian Cultural Center (Tel Aviv) .
Regular broadcasts include quiz for children from Russian-speaking families which this time was devoted to the upcoming holiday - the Day of the Great Victory.
Author and presenter art. Assistant of the RCC, Dr. Tatiana Yatsyuk, in an entertaining way and in a form accessible to children, described the popular poems and songs written during World War II, including the famous song lyrics on Surkov A. "In the dugout."
The young listeners also learned that 70 years ago, in March 1943, despite the war years, in Moscow, the first childrens' book holiday was held "Knizhkiny birthday", an initiative by children's writer Leo Kassil and since then this festival is celebrated in Russia each year.
Valentine Kataeva host of the children, told the story of "The Tinder Box", written in 1944, during the war against the Nazi invaders.
Also Radio guests in the studio were young soloists in the vocal ensemble "Simcha" ("Joy") and artistic director Alexander Yaroshevsky (Kiryat Gat). The girls talked about their war veteran grandfathers and performed songs dedicated to the heroes of the Victory.
Young listeners responded live on the phone to the questions of traditional quiz, which at this time were directly related to the victory war theme of the broadcast.
The winners received prizes - new Russian publications for children from the Publishing House "Isradon" (General Manager - Vladimir Waxman), long-term partner of the FA Rossotrudnichestvo Representation in Israel.

5 May in Ashdod, Opening ceremony of the Memorial in honour of the heroes of the Soviet Union, attended by siblings of Lieutenant General Maveya and Colonel Yevsey Vainrub.
The two brothers fought a tanker, passed all the great patriotic war, participated in the storming of Berlin. On 6 April, 1945 one of the brothers, Yevsey Vainrub was awarded the high title of hero of the Soviet Union. He spend the last years of his life in Ashdod.
At the opening of the obelisk, established with the support of the city, veterans, relatives of the heroes of Russia and the Soviet Union, residents of the city and representatives of the diplomatic corps had gathered to participate.
The ceremony was opened by the Chairman of the Knesset, Yuli Edelstein, who stressed the importance of preserving the historical facts of the courageous struggle of the Jewish people at the fronts of the second world war.
Addressing the assembly First Deputy Mayor of Ashdod Boris Giterman and Deputy Mayor Vladimir Gershov congratulated the assembled, wished them a happy victory day and thanked the action team for the realization of the Memorial.
Especially a solemn atmosphere prevailed during the event due to the participation of members of the military-historical reconstruction club of the RED ARMY, which stood as honour guard at the monument .
RCC staff member Denis Parkhomchuk took part in the ceremony on behalf of the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv.

7 May 2013 Israelis celebrate Victory Day in Ashdod
In a series of numerous celebratory and commemorative events, which take place on the eve of Victory Day, the memorial meeting held on May 7 at the municipal cemetery of Ashdod holds a special place.
Here, near the memorial, which consists of several monuments, including the Jews - Heroes of the Soviet Union and Soviet soldiers-internationalists who died in Afghanistan, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, representatives of the City Hall, diplomats and military attaches Russia and Ukraine, members of Israel Union of Soviet Officers, the Association of former officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs "Shield and Sword", the residents of the city met for a memorial ceremony.
Solomon Gendelman, author of the war memorial idea and the head of the initiative group ashdodtsev - creators of the folk memorial, opened the meeting.
On behalf of all the participants of the FA Rossotrudnichestvo in Israel, Alexander Kryukov, Head of the Representative Office in Israel congratulated all present.
He stressed the importance of preserving the historical truth in the present conditions, when there are attempts of "new historians" to conceal the decisive contribution of the Soviet people and the Red Army in the defeat of Nazi Germany.
This was followed by talks from the Russian military attache in Israel, Colonel Pavel Subbotin and the Defence Attache of Ukraine, Alexander Rudnik
Front line veterans shared memories of the dramatic and heroic days of the Great Patriotic War.
The ceremony ended with the laying of wreaths and flowers at the memorial to the fallen obelisk.

7 May 2013 - the Union of Veterans of the 2nd World War - the fighters against Nazism celebrate V - Day.
In a series of celebratory and commemorative events held in Israel on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, on 7 May , in the banquet hall "White Nights" in Tel Aviv, the Union of Veterans of the Second World War - the fighters against Nazism gave a reception.
Absorption Minister Sofa Landwehr, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Faina Kirshenbaum, chairman of the Knesset's Immigration and Absorption Constantine ?, the ambassadors of Russia and Uzbekistan, the military attache and senior diplomats of the embassies of the CIS countries, mayors and vice mayors of several cities, public figures, representatives of the media had gathered to congratulate the veterans.
Among the other speakers who congratulated the veterans on Victory Day, the Head of the Representative Office of the FA Rossotrudnichestvo in Israel, Alexander Kryukov, noted the great work of the Union for the Conservation of the historical truth about the real heroes and victors in the Second World War. Kryukov donated to the Museum of heroism operated by the Veterans Union, a collection of the best Soviet and Russian films and World War II documentaries on behalf of the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv.
The festive evening ended with a concert during which songs loved by many generations, were sung, the great feat of the Soviet people and the Red Army, which has made a major contribution to the defeat of Nazi Germany

10 May 2013 : Soviet/Russian Universities Graduates celebrate Victory Day
As in previous years, the Association of Graduates of Soviet and Russian universities (the Arab sector) in this May celebrated the Victory Day.
10 May 2013 in one of the celebrations halls of Nazareth, located in northern Israel, leaders and activists of the Association and their families came together to express their gratitude to the people of the Soviet Union and modern Russia, and to remember the great feat of the Red Army which defeated the German Wehrmacht and saved the world from fascism in the dramatic and heroic years of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945).

11 May 2013, at the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv, the World Cultural Center of immigrants from Central Asia (Head - Dr. Mordechai Kimyagarov) organized a meeting with a delegation of fellow - artists from Russia, USA, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Germany.
Among the guests were the folk artists of the USSR Dzhurabek Murodov (Tajikistan) and Malik Kalontarova (USA) and People's Artist of Tajikistan Afzalsho Shodiev.

12 May 2013 Russia at the international fair presentations in Even Yehuda
At the American international school. W. Barbour (United States Ambassador in Israel in 1969-1973), located in the town of Even Yehuda, an international day of presentations of national cultures was held.
The school was founded in 1958, and today there are about 600 children almost 50 nationalities from 29 countries, including more than 30 Russian-speaking Israelis and Russians.
The stand of the Russian Federation, as in previous years, was prepared by the Office of the FA Rossotrudnichestvo in Israel together with Russians and Israelis-activists of the parents Committee.
The dolls displayed at the national Russian stand were nesting dolls, outfits, swatches and khokhloma painting zhostovo, colorful albums on the history, culture and art of Russia. On the screen was video of Moscow. Great demand for traditional Russian food-pancakes, pelmeni, meat dishes.
Restaurant "Baba yaga" (Tel Aviv) and the supermarket chain "Tiv Taam" (Netanya) actively participated in the decoration of the Russian stand .

In a series of cultural and educational events the FA Rossotrudnichestvo Representation in Israel is devoted to a significant date in Russian history - the 1150 anniversary of the Slavic written language.
The Russian Cultural Center (Tel Aviv) has opened a historical and literary exhibition "In the beginning was the Word", dedicated to the Day of Slavic Written Language and culture, which is celebrated on May 24.

It presents exhibits of ancient literature, books on the history of Slavic Literature, biographical material about the life and work of St.. Cyril and Methodius - the creators of the Slavic alphabet, academic and popular publications of studies of ancient languages and literature.
For the Russian language teachers and Israelis who study Russian language, Russian is an exposition of the latest editions of the encyclopedic, reference and educational materials in the Russian language.
Art exhibitions were part of the reproduction icons and paintings of Russian painters, as well as the picture of "The Historian" (1967), the famous Israeli artist Joseph Kapelyan (Netanya) designed the logo of the RCC as a gift of the Russian Cultural Center.
The library offers to the visitors RCC audiobooks ancient epics and legends, as well as popular science film "The Gospel of Cyril and Methodius" (Russia, 2010), which tells the dramatic story of the lives of these great educators through whom the Slavic peoples gained their written language.
Library users can also refer to a virtual collection of "Cyril and Methodius - Slav educators," posted on the website of the Presidential Library. Boris N. Yeltsin.
The exhibition will run until May 30.

Young Israelis celebrate the birthday of the Russian alphabet

As part of the cultural and educational events the FA Rossotrudnichestvo Representation in Israel is devoted to a significant date in Russian history - the 1150 anniversary of the Slavic written language.
The Russian Cultural Center (Tel Aviv) takes place " Week of the Russian alphabet " ( May 27-31 ) , in which are held themed graduation lessons in the Russian language courses for young Israelis.
In the festive classroom of the courses , students are actively involved , their parents and the staff from the FA Rossotrudnichestvo Representation .
The Head of the Russian language department and the Russian language teachers , Dr. Tatiana Yatsyuk in a fun and easily understandble for kids told about Russian festival of the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture and the history of the creation of the first Russian alphabet.
Bright illustrations threads are shown and students read poems by famous Russian poets of the Russian language under the direction of their course teachers Dina Miller, Ioannina Tsoyref , Tatiana Semenova.
Children and adults were happy to participate in an entertaining quiz " Happy Birthday, ABC ," and in a competition for the best story about the letters of the Russian alphabet .
The best works were awarded special prizes - Russian colorful books for children. Graduates of the course received a certificate of completion of the academic year and presents.

RCC Tel Aviv: International Forum "Russian language between Europe and Asia - video conference
On the eve of the day of the Russian language within the framework of international humanitarian forum "Russian language between Europe and Asia" (Perm, Russia), the Representation of the FA Rossotrudnichestvo in Israel, well known amongst the Israeli public figures, leaders, teachers, fellow Russian linguists, journalists and writers took part in the Internet-Conference on actual problems concerning the preservation and development of the Russian-speaking areas abroad.
At the invitation of the Russian Cultural Center (Tel Aviv), the Chairman of the Israeli Coordinating council of Russian associations of countrymen Michael Reif, Director of the Institute of East European and CIS countries, Dr. Alexander Tsinker, Director of the "Moscow" compatriot association Olga Gelfand, Board Member of Sophia Axelrod, art director of the Israeli children's creativity center Irina Deutsch, President of the nationals of the Republic of Tatarstan in Israel Dr. Max Pearlstein, and a representative of the Samara Association , poet and journalist Alexander Persikov attended the video conference.
In the computer room of the RCC the video conference was connected to the Conference Hall of the Forum, which was opened by the welcoming remarks from Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Sergey Naryshkin, Chairman of Council of Federation Valentina Matviyenko, Director-General of UNESCO Irina Bokova. The main report on the status of the Russian language in the world was made by the Head of Rossotrudnichestvo F Konstantin Kosachev.
During a video link with Tel Aviv Michael Reif commented on the unique status of the Russian language in Israel, where according to official Russian statistics every fifth citizen of the country speaks Russian.
M. Reif also described the various activities of the Rossotrudnichestvo in cooperation with compatriots with regards to the preservation and popularization of the Russian language in Israel.
The Internet-Conference at the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Europe and Asia was attended by representatives from more than 60 countries, including Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Iceland, Moldova, Slovakia, Finland, France, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan.
Russian and foreign media reported the forum debate.
