Welcome to the website of the Russian Cultural Center (RCC).
The RCC, opened in Tel Aviv, October 10, 2007, and is one of 73 foreign missions of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation.
The main tasks of the RCC is to promote Russian culture and art, and support learning and teaching of the Russian language, providing prompt and objective information to the Israeli Public about the major events,the foreign policy of Russia as well as the promotion of joint Russian-Israeli programs in the humanitarian, cultural, scientific, technological and educational fields .
We are proud of the huge contribution of the Jews in the world to Russian culture, seeking to preserve and augment it. In this regard, we invite you to co-operate with the creative teams in Israel who came from the Soviet Union and the CIS, together with all the musicians, artists, writers and artists.
The RCC team is doing everything possible so that our valued visitors, the Israelis can feel comfortable and enjoy the programs. We welcome your suggestions.

" The Seagull "in space!" - unique photography exhibit from the personal archive of
V. v. Tereshkova marking 50 years of the space flight of the first woman cosmonaut.The exhibition will run until June 27.
The library of the Russian Cultural Center (Tel Aviv) has launched a unique photo exhibition from the State and the personal archives of one of the most famous women of the XX century.
The exhibition includes rare photographs that reflect all stages of the glorious way of life of the first woman in space - from the teenage years to present day. In pictures - the girl with the poetic call sign "Seagull" , with Sergei Korolyov and Yuri Gagarin and other Soviet cosmonauts, her first performance at the Red Square, meetings with heads of state and public figures from different countries. Among the rare artifacts - photos of Tereshkova with her family and loved ones.

"Onegin, a good friend of mine ..."– publication of the novel in verse
Pushkin's "Eugene Onegin" in English and Hebrew
from the collection of the writer and literary critic Leonid Finkel.
Pushkin Days continue - the FA Rossotrudnichestvo in Israel launched a cultural and educational project dedicated to the 214th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Pushkin. This includes the Pushkin Festival and Day of the Russian language in the Russian Cultural Center (Tel Aviv) and the literary and artistic exhibition "Onegin, a good friend of mine ...", dedicated to the famous novel in verse ,the genius of Russian literature.
The exhibition presents numerous editions of "Eugene Onegin" in Russian and other languages, including Hebrew, Russian illustrations and international artists to the novel, and other materials from the collection of the famous writer, Pushkin scholar and bibliophile, a graduate of the Institute of Literature named after Maxim Gorky, Executive Secretary of the Union of Russian Writers Israel Leonid Finkel.

"Pushkin" in literature and art – exhibition of the RCC.The exhibition will run until June 27.
In the exhibition section "Pushkin in literature and art" publications are available from the Library of the RCC - books of prominent Russian writers and poets dealing the life and work of Alexander Pushkin, biographical edition of the f series , studies of Russian and Israeli pushkinists. The exhibition is complemented by albums showing Pushkin memorial sites in Russia and Pushkin in painting.
A special place in the exhibition highlights the role of Alexander Pushkin in the creation of the Russian literary language. The attention of philologists and Russian language teachers offered four- "Dictionary of the language of Pushkin" representing a unique lexical richness of Pushkin's poetry and prose, Russian language textbooks for schools in Israel with the methodological development of lessons on the material biographies and works of the poet.

| 26 June 2013 Happy 60th Birthday Prof Dr Kryukov !
The Head of the Russian Federal Agency for CIS Affairs, Compatriots living Abroad, and for International Humanitarian Cooperation, Konstantin Kosachev, in a phone conversation personally congratulated the Head of the FA Rossotrudnichestvo Representation in Israel, Alexander Kryukov on his 60th birthday, and also sent a congratulatory letter.
K. Kosachev wished good health, vitality and new achievements in the activities for the benefit of the motherland and the future of the Russian-Israeli cultural relations. The team of the RCC in Tel Aviv and the IRAS liaison team join the congratulations and best wishes. |

| 25 June 2013 - Ashkelon holds 20th annual Pushkin Art Festival. Its main motive was to compare the fates and creativity of two geniuses of Russian literature Pushkin and Lermontov. As in previous years, the undisputed Organizer and presenter of the Festival has become the well-known Russian-Israeli writer, literary critic and historian, Dr. Leonid Finkel, a graduate of the literary Institute Gorky.

June 22, the day of the 72th anniversary of the treacherous attack of Nazi Germany on the Soviet Union and the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, the Russian Cooperation Office in Israel
with the support of the Embassy of Russia organized a memorial meeting in the Red Army Forest near Jerusalem.
The
Event was opened by the Head of Rossotrudnichestvo in Israel, Alexander Kryukov, who spoke about the history of the young citizens of the State of Israel Memorial Forest and its opening on June 22, 1950.
Then the audience welcomed representatives of the embassies of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan, as well as military attaches at the Embassy of Russia.
Performers with songs of the war years, as well as poems about war provided the artistical part of the program. The participants of the meeting reviewed an exhibition of the most famous war photographs from the collection of the Russian Cultural Center (Tel Aviv).
After the ceremonial laying of wreaths at the monument to Soviet Army soldiers an informal discussions was held with guests and representatives from the Israeli veterans unions and disabled veterans from the Second World War.
Unheard songs of the Great Patriotic War and the participation of the members of the Red Army Reenacting Society (Ashdod), who wore the uniforms of soldiers and officers of the Red Army stood guard of honor at the memorial monument.
The event was also attended by leaders and activists of the All-Israeli association Russian compatriots' Union of former law enforcement officers "Shield and Sword", Association "Moscow" Russian youth movement "Jadar", the Friendship Association "Israel - Russia", the Union of Chernobyl liquidators Israel Alumni Association of Soviet and Russian universities, youth motorcycle club Petah Tikva, the Israel Fund who provides economic, scientific-technical and cultural support for Russian compatriots.

12 June 2013 the Russian Embassy in Israel hosted a state reception at the Tel Aviv Hilton on the occasion of the national holiday of the Russian Federation – Russia Day.
The celebration was attended by about 1,000 guests, including Minister of Immigrant Absorption Sofa Landwer, Knesset members, representatives of the diplomatic corps and the senior clergy of several faiths, fellow veteran leaders, and creative unions, prominent public figures, representatives of science and culture of Israel.
The Head of FA Rossotrudnichestvo Representation in Israel, Alexander Kryukov moderated the evening in English and Hebrew..
Russian Ambassador Sergei Yakovlev wished all gathered a Happy Holiday and noted the active growing Russian-Israeli cooperation in the economic, innovation, humanitarian and other areas.
The Israeli Minister of Immigrant Absorption Sofa Landwer also gave a congratulatory speech.
The artistic part of the holiday was enriched by the eloquent presentation of soloists from the Bolshoi Theatre – Zasluzhennoj artistki Rossii Aleksandry Dursenevoj (mezzo-soprano) and Vsevolod Grivnova (tenor), who performed Russian folk songs and popular classical works.
The brilliant virtuoso pianist Leonid Ptashka, accompanied by an ensemble of soloists from the Ashdod Philharmonic Orchestra played jazz compositions and loved by all "podmoskovnye vechera".

1 June 2013 - Alexander Pushkin on radio REKA's children broadcast

On the eve of the Russian language, which is celebrated on June 6 - the day of Alexander Pushkin's birth,
the popular program "children broadcast for children" dedicated a special broadcast to Alexander Pushkin.
On June 1,2013 well-known journalist Victoria Dolinskaya moderated a special issue of the Russian Cultural Center (Tel Aviv) Russian language broadcast. The broadcast opened the Pushkin Days, which are held at the Russian Federal Agency Rossotrudnichestvo Representation in Israel.
