Welcome to the website of the Russian Cultural Center (RCC).

The RCC opened in Tel Aviv on October 10, 2007 , and is one of 85 foreign representations of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation.

The main tasks of the RCC is to promote Russian culture and the arts, support the study and teaching of the Russian language, to relay prompt and objective information to the Israelis about the most important events of the external and internal policy of Russia, promoting the implementation of the joint Russian-Israeli programs in the humanitarian, cultural, scientific, technical and educational fields.

We are proud of the huge contribution of the Jews in World War I and the Russian culture, seeking to preserve and enhance it.
In this regard, we welcome the cooperation of creative teams who came from the USSR, the CIS, as well as all the musicians, singers, writers and artists and who started new careers in Israel.

The RCC team is doing its best to present an interesting program in a relaxed athmosphere to our valued visitors.

Sat. 7 Dec 2013 - Radio REKA - RCC monthly children broadcast
110 anniversary of the birth of famous children's writer Lazar Lagin (1903-1979)
On the eve of the 110 anniversary of the birth of famous children's writer Lazar Lagin,well-known journalist Victoria Dolinskaya hosted a special edition of the children's broadcast.
Author and coach Dr Tatyana Yatsyuk from the RCC told about the author, beloved by many generations of story-tales "Starik Hottabych" (1938) , which was published 75 years ago. .
The children's "one-word, two-word" broadcast is a monthly program on the "Voice of Israel" radio REKA initiated in January 2013 and has gained popularity among children and their parents.
Tue. 10 Dec 2013 - RCC 18:00 - Cinema Club SREDA presents the film "LOST IN PARADISE:", in memory of the people's artists of the USSR Sergey Kolosov and Lyudmila Kasatkina (Presenter: Tatiana Yatsyuk)

After a story about the creativity of the outstanding masters of Russian cinema, the latter work of the Director and screenwriter Sergey Kolosov and actress Kasatkina.

The original score was written by the composer and musician, son of the famous cinematic couple, Alexey Kolosov.

This is a war drama in which such famous actors as Tatyana Lavrova, Viktor Zemlanikin, Vladimir Zemlanikin, Yevgeny Kniazev are starring, as well as a new generation of talented actors: Dmytro Kozle, Maria Zorina, Vladislav Vetrov, etc.

The script was written by Nadezhdi Teffy, a famous writer who emigrated from Soviet Russia to Paris in 1922.

The film tells the story of the tragic fate of a Russian woman who, having failed to raise her son, was forced to break down because of him all his life, first to leave her homeland, then to give false evidence in favor of her son, the perpetrator of the crime, and in the end had to assume his guilt and undeserved punishment.
Duration: 104 min.

Wed. 11 Dec 2013 - on the eve of Constitution Day, the RCC in Tel Aviv held a reception in honor of the 20th anniversary of the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

The reception was attended by the ambassadors of countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States, representatives of the diplomatic corps and the clergy, heads of organizations, members of the press and intellectuals.

In his opening speech, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation Anatoly Yurkov pointed out that the Constitution of Russia is a reliable tool for the development of the country, proclaiming the high status of the rights and freedoms of citizens, the values of federalism and democratic State.

Thu. 12 Dec 2013 - The RCC staff warmly congratulated Maria Lvovna to her remarkable 100th anniversary, wishing her good health and longevity.
The Jubilee in years turned out to be a very energetic and cheerful person. Maria Lvovna was born in 1913, in Belorussia, Bobruisk, after graduation, went to study at the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute, has experienced heavy days of the Leningrad siege, has worked at the factory on manufacture of electronic equipment for the missiles.

The Leningrad Blokadnik is now living in Israel (Kfar Saba), a remarkable woman, a mother and grandmother, Maria's House was full of native people who came with gifts, and flowers arrived from all over the world,from Russia, Spain, Ukraine, the United States to congratulate and wishing this dear person a happy birthday.

The 1st meeting of the new cultural and educational project "Unknown Russia" took place with the Russian-Israeli traveler-naturalist diver, Eduard Aulov.

Opening the evening, the Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Representation in Israel,Natalia Yakimchuk described the new project, the purpose of which is to acquaint the Israelis with the preserved places, architectural and historical monuments of the Russian land.


Thu. 19 Dec. 2013 - RCC 18:00 Tel Aviv celebrates 80 years of Alexander Gorodnitsky

The Russian Cultural Center hosted an evening dedicated to the work of the famous Russian poet and Bard Alexander Gorodnitsky who celebrates his 80th anniversary this year.

Physicist-Geophysicist, Chief researcher at the Institute of Ocean Sciences, honored worker of science of the Russian Federation, academician, Professor, doctor of geological and mineralogical Sciences Aleksandr Gorodnickiy is one of the founders of the genre of bards and a remarkable poet. Creativity A. Gorodnitsky, who has been with his concerts in Israel, known and loved by compatriots of different generations.

National competition of educational and methodical "Olympic lesson"
24.09.2013 - The Rossotrudnichestvo Representation in Israel and the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv invites Russian teachers to take part in all the "Olympic lesson" for the best academic development units of the Russian language dedicated to the Olympic Games ,and to the Olympic Games-2014 in Sochi.

The competition is to promote and support the creative potential of Israeli experts, enhance the interest of students to study the Russian language and Russian history, addressing educational tasks based on the spiritual values of the Olympic movement and healthy living, as well as to foster the RCC 's methodological developments in assisting its teachers of Russian as a foreign language.

Theme of the contest:
  • ancient and modern history of the Olympic Games;
  • The Olympic movement in Russia: history, champions;
  • Sochi-2014 Winter Olympics capital;
  • Paralympic Games: spiritual values and achievements.

    The submission deadline is January 10, 2014

    Awards: January 20, 2014 - additional ceremonial details will be announced in due course

    FREE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE COURSES
    for children and youngsters aged 7 to 14 years
    from Russian-speaking families.

    Classes are conducted by highly qualified teachers with many years of experience
    in teaching the Russian language in Israeli schools.
    Groups are formed according to the results of the interview.
    Frequency of sessions: once a week for 3 lessons
    (the duration of the lesson: 45 min.) subject to change. Hours: 17:00-19:35 - effective September, 2013.
