Russian Language Day
The RCC annually organizes and conducts cultural and educational, scientific and methodical activities aimed at popularizing the Russian language.
The Russian President signed on June 6, 2011 a decree on holding the annual Day of the Russian language in order to "preserve, support and develop the Russian language as the national heritage of the peoples of the Russian Federation, the means of international communication, and an integral part of the cultural and spiritual heritage of world civilization"
