Cosmonautic Day and the 55th anniversary of YA Gagarin's flight in space was commemorated at the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv
On 12 April, Cosmonautic Day, the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv, in the framework of the cultural and educational project "Save the Russian language in the family", held a festive theme night, "You know what a guy he was?", Dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the flight of Yuri Gagarin into space.
The evening was attended by representatives of three generations of compatriots, including young Israelis. Leading the evening, RCC linguist expert, staffmember, Dr. Tatiana Yatsyuk told about the life and heroism of the first cosmonaut in the world. The story was accompanied by a display of unique newsreels 1960s and excerpts of films about YA Gagarin.
Young Israelis, students of Russian language courses at RCC, read poems dedicated to the conquest of space and astronauts. Members of the older generation shared memories of an unforgettable day of April 12, 1961, to unite all the inhabitants of the Earth in the general jubilation.
According to one of the guests, native Israelis.every schoolchild in Israel knows the word "satellite" and "Gagarin". At the end of the evening we sang songs about pilots and cosmonauts in penetrating performance of singer Marina Brosh.
Within the framework of events dedicated to the remarkable date in the history of Russian and world cosmonautics a photo exhibition and book exposition is on display at the RCC .
On April 20 the cinema club will be showing the Russian Alexei Uchitel film "Dreaming of Space".
