About the play "Dedication to Eve"
Setting: Sergey Yashin

The first sounds of the performance - the noise of the surf, indicating the place of action. It is an island in the Norwegian Sea, where the famous writer Abel Znorko retired. The writer found on the island salvation from everyday life, there is no need to play the role of a happy man, no need to "wear" an artificial smile when suffering with creeping pain. But his solitude suddenly is broken by Erik Larsen, who introduced himself as a journalist.

The reason for the heroes of the meeting served as a way out of the book, whose author is one of them. A book of love, based on many years of correspondence, became an instant bestseller and provoked the conflict. The new novel writer is a genuine correspondent with Znorko, the sweetheart, who later became the wife of Larsen. Several years ago, she died, but the letters under her name continued to come.

So the two men who loved the same, long-dead woman ... Two antipode, united by a common pain of loss and doomed to solitude.
The two worldviews, two visions of the same fate ...
The premiere took place on 22 April 1999.
The play is recommended for audiences 16 and older (16+).
