The Dmitrov district of the Moscow region and the Israeli town of Or Akiva will be twinned.

The meeting of the municipal administration of the Dmitrov district, Moscow region with the city of Or Akiva (Israel) was held on 20 June in the city of Dmitrov.
The Israeli delegation consisted in part of the deputy mayor of Or Akiva Arkady Gadilov, chairman of the organizations of compatriots "Aliteya" Adviser to the Mayor Vadim Edelman-Perepelitsa, municipality deputy Avraham Cohen.
Contacts between the administration of the Dmitrov District, Moscow Region and the Municipality of Or Akiva were established with the assistance of the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv.
During the meeting the sides signed a protocol of intent on the establishment of sister-city relations and cooperation between the town of Or Akiva and Moskovskaya oblast.

Russian Methodists told Israeli specialists in Russian philology about the innovation in teaching Russian as a foreign language
24 June 2016 - At the invitation of the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv, in the framework of preserving the Russian language abroad,the chief editor of the educational and publishing center "Zlatoust", Candidate of Philology Anna Golubeva (St. Petersburg), associate professor of the State Institute of Russian Language. AS Pushkin, PhD Elena Nechayev (Moscow) visited Israel.
On June 23 the leading Russian Methodists, the authors of textbooks on Russian as a foreign language,gave lectures and master classes in refresher courses for Russian language teachers at public schools of the Israeli Ministry of Education. In the classroom, the Israeli specialists in Russian philology became acquainted with innovative methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language and with new teaching aids publishing "Chrysostom".
On June 24 a methodical seminar on Russian language teaching was held, focusing on bilingual children, in preservation of the Russian language in the families of compatriots. The Russian Methodists gave lectures "Who will help the child to grow up bilingual?" (A. Israel celebrated the 217th anniversary of the birth of AS Pushkin at the street named his honor in Jaffa

We invite you to take part in the 14th International Russian Language Olympics for foreign pupils
The organizer of the Olympics has traditionally been the Russian language State University named after A.S. Pushkin with the support of the Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation, under the auspices of the International Association of Russian language and literature teachers (MAPRYAL) and Russotrudnichestvo.
The Olympics will take place in two categories : for high school students from abroad who are studying Russian as a foreign language, and for students in foreign schools conducting their studies in Russian.
There are four phases of competition: online registration, screening test, semifinals (creative job, grammar, civics questions) and final (essay, oral presentation).
The Final Olympics will be held in November 2016.

The Federal Agency for Youth Affairs of the Russian Federation cordially invites students and young professionals from around the world to take part in high-level multi-themed youth forums, being organized in Russia throughout the months of July and August in the summer of 2016.
Each forum is divided into multiple week-long sessions, focusing on different subject areas. Throughout the week, participants are engaged in thoughtprovoking lectures, panel discussions, debates and case studies – all involving Russia’s most prominent names in academia, politics, business, IT, science, civil society, arts and culture.
The forums encourage and empower participants to push forward new ideas and find solutions to unresolved domestic and international problems, while forming social networks and developing professional communities. The application process to all forums is identical - those interested must register in the automated information system (AIS) “Youth of Russia”, operated by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs. Many celebrations in honor of Victory Day were held in Israel
Celebrations in honor of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War and the Second World War, the festival that has gained official status in Israel, was held this year in thirty-nine cities.
On the eve of Victory Day, May 6, an impressive march and rally was held in Haifa "Immortal regiment." An endless stream of marchers in the central streets of the city, comprised of theLeningrad blockade veterans and the descendants of those who heroically fought in the Great Patriotic War.
An already traditional Victory Parade and rally "Immortal regiment" took place on May 8 in Jerusalem. Victory Day celebrations at the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv

The ceremony dedicated to the 71st anniversary of the Great Victory, was held in the Red Army Forest near Jerusalem.
The
Memorial Forest of the Red Army, located in the mountains near Jerusalem close to the village of Abu Ghosh, was planted in 1950 in gratitude by the Israelis towards the Soviet Army, who saved the world from Nazism.
At the same time there was a stele with an inscription "This forest is planted by Israeli citizens for the Soviet Army." For many years the Russian Cultural Center have been holding their traditional memorial ceremony in the Forest of the Red Army in honor of Victory Day.

A Marshakovskie reading took place in Jerusalem for the first time
Readings dedicated to the work of the remarkable Soviet poet and translator Samuel Marshak, took place on May 3, at the Jerusalem Center for Fine Arts, located in the ancient walls of the Old City.
The idea of Marshakovskie readings and highlighting the biography of the poet in major cities, came from the Voronezh Regional Governor Alexei Gordeyev. As it is known, in Voronezh, where Marshak spent his childhood, a monument was set in his honor.
The first Marshakovskie reading took place in 2015 in Moscow. The Russian Jewish Congress (RJC) is the organizer of the readings in Jerusalem, where Samuel Marshak stayed in the early 20th century.

The Israeli team was successful at the second World Games of young compatriots in Sochi
The second World Games of young compatriots in Sochi, held under the patronage of Rossotrudnichestvo, ended April 29.
The competition was attended by 600 athletes from 46 countries in Europe, Asia and America.
An extensive entertainment program, which included informal dialogue in Russian with their peers from different countries had been prepared for the participants of the World Games.
At competitions young Israeli athletes, who arrived in Sochi with the support of the Coordinating Council of Compatriots in Israel were successful . The chess team of Sean Levitan, Tal Zussman, Patrick Senderskiy and Gabriel Buchmann took second place, losing to the team of Greece.

The first International Festival of Russian Theatres was launched in Israel
The opening of the First International Festival of Russian-speaking theaters "Russian Curtain" was held on May 1 in Israel in Petah Tikva. Festive relay of the Russian language was a success in the radio "Voice of Israel" live transmission.

Private screening of the new Israeli film "Castle in the sand" at the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv
March 17 at the Russian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv, Israel a private screening of the short film "Castle in the sand" was held for actors and participants in the shooting process. The film was directed by the well-known Israeli director and producer Omri Levy. The film is made in Russian and is equipped with subtitles in Hebrew.
